nem tudhatom már, hogy ki is vagyok,

hiába. egykor tapintottalak

eltűntek mára a nyomok is mind

ujjlenyomataim mit sem mondanak.

szólítgatom éjjel is ujjaim nyomát,

hasztalan: ők is elfelejtenek

utoljára ahogy láttam őket,

hajadat túrják, s táncot lejtenek

merre vagytok, merre régi ujjnyomataim?

“elmegyek végre.” - gondoltam reggel,

s fiókjaid ürítettem éppen.

hirtelen százezernyi ujjnyomod

hullt alá a padlóra szépen...

mint akit nem érdekel mit veszít

hagytad csak, le sem hajoltál értük

magad sem tudtad, melyik kié,

és kérdőn egymásra néztünk:

merre vagytok, merre régi ujjnyomataim?

és most házasodnál gyorsan,

és vinnél a templomba rendesen,

s hullna ránk konfetti-áradat...

de tudod: ez nem az én esetem.

s bár elvennélek szívesen,

kezdeni egy olyan lánnyal félek,

ki régi ujjlenyomataimmal

azonosít amíg élek.
